Goals

There still remain problems for many people in the world who do not have easy access to safe drinking water or industrial water.
They expect more and more of Japanese waterworks technologies to help them secure a reliable supply of safe water. Their wish is not only to introduce products or repair parts as before, but also to receive long-term water services.
Tokyo Metropolitan Waterworks Bureau (TMWB) has totally managed water utilities to supply safe and high-quality water through 26,219-km of distribution pipe networks and with a leakage rate of less than 3%. This is achieved on the basis of highly sophisticated technologies which cover planning, construction, renovation, operation and maintenance of waterworks from water sources to service faucets.
TWI will utilize the technologies and experiences acquired by TMWB to boost global water access through its water services.
